What is Fall Conference?

Fall Conference is a weekend for connection. You’ll encounter Jesus in community with hundreds of students across Indiana and Illinois. You’ll have a blast with your newfound family of friends, hanging out together and dreaming about what God wants to do on your campus. You’ll see your faith come alive in a new way and catch a vision for how God is inviting you to follow him during your time in college and for the rest of your life. Come find your community and discover God’s calling for you!

The vision of InterVarsity is to see lives transformed, campuses renewed and world changers developed. We long to see a witnessing community on all 150 colleges and universities in Indiana and Illinois. We hope that you join us for a life-changing weekend at Fall Conference!

Focus Tracks

First time at Fall Conference? Connect is for you! The Christian life is not for the faint of heart. It is full of meaning, relationships, mission, growth, love, suffering and joy. We will dig in to the book of 1 Thessalonians to understand what God is calling us to and how to follow him more fully. Along the way, we'll get practical experience in learning how to study the Bible well. Come ready to increase your appetite for God's word and be challenged by its application to our lives.

We're all on a journey when it comes to faith and none of us has it all figured out. Maybe you are not a Christian or maybe you are uncertain what you believe about the spiritual side of life. No matter your faith background, come explore in a safe environment where you can investigate Jesus, ask questions, and consider next steps in your spiritual journey.

As part of Jesus' kingdom-building discipleship strategy, he invites his followers to help others grow. We will explore this invitation together, gaining a big-picture understanding and practical experience in intentional growth/mentoring relationships. Come expecting to go deep with others and be transformed through relationship!

To help you get the most out of Fall Conference, you'll spend some of your time each day in one of 5 focus tracks!

What are your dreams for you campus? Do you long to see God move in your corner of campus or another nearby school? Come gain practical tools to start something new and receive coaching as you discern God's vision for a new missional movement in your networks.

Ministry Partner

Calling all volunteers, Special Guests, and InterVarsity alumni! The Ministry Partner track will focus on anxiety - thought patterns that contribute to it and how God can reshape those. You will study scripture together and connect with current students to hear what God is doing on campus through InterVarsity. Make sure to register as a Ministry Partner.

How do I get there?

The conference is located in Decatur, IL in the central part of the state. We'll be at the Decatur Conference Center & Hotel 4191 US 36 West, Decatur, IL 62522. Your best bet is to drive to the conference with friends. If you don't have access to a car, talk to your InterVarsity staff worker to help arrange transportation.

How much does is cost?

You can register with a $25 non-refundable deposit. If you register before 11:59pm on September 30, you'll lock in the early bird rate of $109. After September 30, the total cost goes up to $129. Cost includes hotel, lunch and dinner on Saturday. Cost does not include transportation to and from the conference or other meals, so coordinate with the friends you're traveling with or work out a transportation plan with your InterVarsity staff.

I can't pay for it...what should I do?

Don't let money keep you from coming to Fall Conference! We have scholarship money available to help you make it work. Talk to your InterVarsity staff about scholarships that may be available, or if that doesn't work, contact our registrar using the email form below. We'll work with you to make a way!

What if I have to cancel?

Just don't : ) But if you must, you have until the day of the conference to cancel if needed. Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable, but if you've already paid your full balance, we'll be glad to refund the rest.

How does housing work? Can I choose my roommates?

Housing is assigned as you go through registration on-site. Every room will be filled with four people of the same gender, so plan to go through the registration line in groups of 2 or 4 to be housed together. Groups of 3 usually cannot be accommodated. If you have a specific request or particular needs, just use the contact form below to get in touch with our registrar.

When should I arrive? When will we be done?

Plan to arrive no later than 6:30pm on Friday the 1st so that you can get registered and settled. Our first session starts at 8pm. We'll wrap up by noon on Sunday the 3rd.

I have more questions!

No problem. Just fill out the contact form below and we'll be happy to help!

Volunteers & Alumni

Traditionally, volunteers and alumni have played a huge role in making Fall Conference the amazing experience that it is for students! And we would love for you to join us again this Fall. However, because of the way the tracks are structured this year, we anticipate we will not need as many volunteers and alumni to serve in tracks (though we will still need some).

So we are inviting all volunteers and alumni to register for the Ministry Partner track – a track prepared with you in mind. If you would still like to volunteer you can let us know how you'd like to serve when you register (roles might include leading a table group, helping with registration, praying with students and more!) Otherwise, you will be part of the Ministry Partner track where we'll have the opportunity to dive into a pertinent topic, and study scripture together in addition to connecting with current students to hear what God is doing on campus through InterVarsity.

Cost for all volunteers and alumni is $150 per individual, $250 per couple. This contribution helps offset the costs for students! Questions? Fill out the contact form below.
